Promotional competition rules for the Sneaker Factory x Jeep experience competition
1. This promotional competition is organised
by Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd, trading as Sneaker
Factory (registration number 1988/007302/07) (“TFG”) and Reviva Technology
Proprietary Limited, registration number 2004/004006/07 the licensed
distributor of the “Jeep” branded products (“Jeep”).
2. In these rules, “Promoter” means a person
who directly or indirectly promotes, sponsors, organises or conducts the
promotional competition, or for whose benefit the promotional competition is
promoted, sponsored, organised or conducted, which includes TFG and Jeep.
3. No director, member, partner, employee,
agent of, or consultant to the Promoter or any other person who directly or
indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, their advertising
agencies, or their spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers,
sisters, business partners or associates, may enter this promotional
competition. This also applies to a person who is a supplier of goods or
services in connection with this promotional competition.
4. All participants must be at least 18 years
old at the time of entering the competition and must reside in South Africa.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to vary,
postpone, suspend or cancel the competition, any aspect of the competition and
anything related thereto, without notice at any time and for any reason
whatsoever that the Promoter deems is reasonable at the time. Should the
promotional competition be cancelled by the Promoter or in terms of any law or
by any authority, no notice of cancellation shall be required. In such event,
all participants and the winners waive any rights and acknowledge that they
shall have no claim, of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter, its
directors, agents or employees as a result of the cancellation.
6. By entering the competition, participants
agree and understand that they may win a prize, but there is no guarantee that they
will win a prize.
7. To enter into the competition, participants
must:
a. Step 1: Purchase a pair of Jeep
footwear in store at any Sneaker Factory store in South
Africa that stocks Jeep footwear or online from Sneaker Factory via Bash
(https://bash.com/sneaker-factory) from 17 September 2025 to 02 November 2025
(both day included);
b. Step 2: Scan the competition entry QR
code that can be found at the point of sale at Sneaker Factory stores in South
Africa that stock Jeep footwear or on Sneaker Factory’s Facebook and Instagram
social media pages, upload a copy of your till slip/proof of purchase and
submit your details.
8. There will be 2 (two) winners
in total who will each receive a Jeep experience on the Atlantis dunes in Cape
Town to the value of about R30 000 (thirty thousand rand) for themself and 1
(one) guest of their choice that will include lunch, flights (if required),
travel arrangements and accommodation for 1 (one) night.
9. The schedule of activities, accommodation, transport arrangements
and airlines will be determined at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
10. Participants can enter multiple
times but the winners will only be entitled to one prize.
11. The Promoter and its sponsors do not accept
any responsibility for any entry or prize that is lost, damaged, unusable or
delayed.
12. The winners will not be entitled to
payment, credit or otherwise in the event that they do not claim or utilise the
prize to the fullest extent possible. Any item or value unused will be deemed
waived by the winners.
13. The prize is not transferable, may not be
deferred or exchanged for cash, credit or otherwise and may be subject to
expiry dates. The Promoter will not be held responsible or be liable to a
winner of any nature whatsoever if the winner and/or the winner’s guest is/are
unable to travel or attend on the arranged dates in connection with the prize
and in such case, the prize or any part thereof, will be deemed waived by the
affected winner.
14. If any taxes, levies, duties or any charges
whatsoever are levied on a prize by any competent authority, the winners will
be liable for these and the prize value will not be increased to compensate for
such charges.
15. To the extent that a licence (e.g. driver’s
licence), proof of identification or permission is required in order to accept
or use a prize, the winners must produce such licence, identification and/or permission
for inspection by the Promoter prior to receiving the prize. If a winner does
not or is unable to do so, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be
selected under the same terms and conditions.
16. This competition will start on 24
September 2025 and end on 02 November 2025 (both days included). No
late entries will be accepted.
17. The winners will be randomly selected by
the Promoter’s representatives by no later than 11 November 2025 and the
conducting of the competition will be overseen by an independent
auditor/attorney.
18. The Promoter may in its sole and absolute
discretion disqualify participants and/or refuse the handover/payment of a
prize to a winner regardless of successful entry into the competition including
for reasons based on suspected fraud or dishonesty or where behaviour is not in
line with the Promoter’s values.
19. The winners
will be contacted by the Promoter via email to the email address provided to
enter into the competition to review a winner’s entry and/or eligibility to
enter and/or to arrange the prize via telephone and/or email. The Promoter may
at its sole discretion review and request from the winner proof of eligibility
to enter the competition (see clause 4 and 7 above), which may include the
winner’s original proof of purchase document.
20. If the Promoter cannot contact the winners
after at least 2 (Two) individual attempts have been made to reach the winners
via email and/or telephone, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will
be selected. The decision of the Promoter as to the winners is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
21. The winners (including their names) will be
announced on the Promoter’s Facebook and Instagram social media pages by no
later than 14 November 2025.
22. By entering this competition and as a condition
to receive the prize, participants:
a. Consent to the processing of their personal
information by the Promoter(s) and its service providers, but only insofar that
it is necessary to give effect to the competition, for example to view the
entries, select and announce the winners and arrange delivery of the prize. The
winners will be given the opportunity to consent to further processing of the winner’s
personal information;
b. Should they be selected as a winner, agree to
sign an acknowledgment of receipt form in exchange for the prize.
23. By accepting a prize or by entering this
competition, participants hereby indemnify the Promoter against any damage or
losses of any nature whatsoever that the participants may suffer arising from
this competition and the prize, including consequential damages and economic
loss.
24. The winners may be requested to endorse,
promote and advertise any of the goods and services of the Promoter and will
not unreasonably withhold their consent.
25. Participants will be deemed to have
accepted these competition rules by entering into the competition. Failure to
comply with these rules, or the terms of acceptance of a prize will be deemed
to be a rejection of the prize and the winners will then be disqualified from
receiving the prize.
26. This competition is not organised,
sponsored, endorsed or promoted by any social media channel.
